Several funds exist that support specific sites and activities. You may contribute to one of those, or to the General Operating Fund, which supports activities of the organization and unexpected needs related to management of preserves.
WELCH VOLUNTEER FUND: Supports the only paid staff member of FoPC and her outreach to members and other volunteers. The Welch Volunteer Fund was established by David Welch’s mother, who wished to support FoPC/NCPCP after the death of her son. The family continues to support the fund in memory of David, who was PCP Director 2014-2016.

LAND ACQUISITION AND STEWARDSHIP: Provides matching funds for grants and other funding sources. Also used to support management on existing Preserves.

JESSE’S FUND: The NC Plant Conservation Program depends on temporary employees who are, by law, restricted to working 11 months in a year. This fund helps support those employees in their 12th month of employment.

UNRESTRICTED FUND: Helps pay for NC Plant Conservation Program staff to attend conferences and other professional development opportunities. Also used to fund FoPC Board initiatives and fill in when other funds run low.
